Zhanna meets every client in an attentive and caring way. Her approach to massage is holistic with attention focused on the concerns of the client. Zhanna uses firm and fluid techniques in her massages to promote relaxation and therapeutic effects.
Zhanna's massage style is productive and specific, an artistic flow of Swedish and deep tissue trigger-point massage therapy, focusing on injury rehabilitation and prevention with compassion and mindfulness. She may use guided meditation and visualization to deepen client self-awareness. Her aim is to deliver exceptional work to help her clients meet their goals through discovery and growth, so they can be able to work hard and play harder.
Zhanna believes in the body's ability to heal itself and that massage therapy is one of the many paths to restoring health and wholeness to the body. She is also a strong supporter of self care. Zhanna has over 10 years of experience in massage therapy and certified in pregnancy and infant massage. She is providing infant massage classes in our Princeton Office.
After spending over three years practicing meditation and studying the power of the mind I developed a need to help others become in tune with themselves on a greater level. Thats when massage therapy found me. Although I work on the physical body, and am most proficient in deep and therapeutic work, my goal is to help people heal themselves. This transcends the massage room into a persons daily life, and affects how they act and think about their body as well as everything else. Through therapeutic touch and intention I am able to deliver more than just a relaxing massage. My journey has landed me here at Ultimum Vitae Wellness Center, and I am enthused to touch peoples lives.
As a graduate of Cortiva Institute of Muscular Therapy I have over 750 hrs of training in various areas including miofacial , deep tissue, sports massage, neuromuscular facilitation, anatomy and physiology. I have worked on clients with various conditions raging from sciatic pain to knee replacement. I am also experienced with stone massage, body wraps and body scrubs, infant massage, reflexology and energy work. I am excited to be a part of Ultimum Vitae Wellness Center and to bring the newest Himalayan Salt Healing treatments to you in this luxurious environment.
Alexa McDonald, RD, CDN is a Registered Dietitian (RD), Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN), and 200 Hour RYT Certified Yoga Instructor practicing throughout the New York and New Jersey Metropolitan areas. Currently living in Hoboken, NJ, Alexa specializes as a Registered Dietitian and works with clients to meet their individual health goals in the areas of sports nutrition, Medical Nutrition Therapy, eating disorders, weight management, food allergies and yoga instruction via in-person, virtual, and phone counseling and classes.
As an avid runner and self-proclaimed foodie, Alexa is most often praised by her clients for her ability to “fit in the good stuff” while assisting them in accomplishing their health and fitness goals. Through education, verbal support, and helpful resources, she not only helps her clients achieve their short-term results but helps to empower them to develop a healthier (and sustainable) lifestyle for the long-haul.
Alexa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of Maryland, College Park and then went on to complete her dietetic internship through ARAMARK Healthcare before completing her certification exam. At this time, her personal and professional focus remains on sports nutrition and individual counseling as she continues to work towards becoming a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and finishing her Masters of Science in Foods & Nutrition from New York University.
Andrea Stevens started her professional career as a Registered Nurse and worked at several large, well known and well respected hospitals: The Cleveland Clinic, New York University Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia among them.
Andrea gradually became more and more interested in the prevention of disease and illness and in finding less invasive and traumatic ways to heal the body once disease and illness had already started. She began to deepen her study of nutrition, already an interest of hers, as a major – perhaps the major – route towards those aims. She earned a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, and was then board-certified as a Certified Nutrition Specialist.
Further study and certification were later obtained in the specialty areas of Metabolic Typing (see The Metabolic Typing Diet by William L. Wolcott) and Body Ecology (see The Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates). She has studied extensively with Donna Gates and believes her program to be excellent for healing a dysfunctional digestive tract and a weak immune system (these two systems of the body are very closely linked). Andrea’s Master’s Thesis was on Increased Intestinal Permeability, or “leaky gut.” This condition is a major component in problems of the digestive system, including food sensitivities, autoimmune conditions, and autism.
A frequent attendee at conferences and seminars, Andrea has a commitment to continuing education in the field of nutrition, as well as to the exploration and study of additional natural methods of healing and maintaining health and was then board-certified as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (C.N.S.) by the American College of Nutrition.
